We’re an independent game studio headquartered in the heart of the picturesque Northern Vancouver Island wilderness.

Established in 2012 by veterans of the games industry, Hinterland exists to create thought-provoking entertainment, emphasizing story-rich gameplay experiences, and original fictional settings conceived from the ground up to exist across multiple mediums.

Hinterland’s games are imbued with a sense of social awareness and aspire to provide immersive, sophisticated worlds to anyone seeking a mature gaming experience.

As with the studio, Hinterland’s games exist to pioneer original experiences from the fringe of the mainstream games industry. Join us on our journey.

Landyachtz Longboards has worked in collaboration with GOB for three years. Landyachtz has provided boards, mentoring, funding and incredible enthusiasm and spirit toward the development of the Ahousaht Skate Project. Funding from landyachtz was instrumental in bringing A Tribe Called Red to K’omoks First Nation for National Aboriginal Day.

AFC Construction has generously provided the lumber and materials for the construction of the K’omoks half pipe.

Thank you to our supporters! If you would like to get on board for  future projects let us know through an email.
